Ave, Domine Jesu,

In death's jaws we honor you,

Chosen to be the seed,

Your weak and feeble broken reed

To bow the nations before you.

This blood I shed was never mine;

It is yours to turn to wine,

The wine of Calvary outpoured

To offer to Your Father, Lord,

For us all a seal and sign.
